Marcia L. Struck

Marcia L. Struck

Marcia L. Struck, 68, of Polo, passed away at 12:30 PM Monday (October 24, 2016) at O.S.F. St. Anthony’ Medical Center in Rockford.

She retired from Charley’s True Value in Polo.

Private funeral services were held Thursday at the Polo Family Funeral Home in Polo with Rev. Karen Hundrieser officiating.  Interment was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

She was born June 23, 1948 in Dixon to Winton & Rebecca (Myers) Frey.

She is survived by a daughter:  Kimberly (Jay) Walsh of Sheridan; 3 grandchildren:  Nicolette Walsh, Cassandra Walsh and Abigail Walsh all of Sheridan; 2 sisters:  Jean (Phil) Frey of Polo and Sherron (Joe) Johnson of Baileyville.

Marcia was a loving mother and loving grandmother to her 3 grandchildren, she loved crafting, flowers, cardinals, anything blue, a good rummage sale, and all things “woodsey”. Her family has many fond memories of her going on vacations & hearing her stories about growing up on the farm with her horses and her sisters. She was a treasured fixture at many a Polo business for years, mainly the Polo bowling alley, the Shell station, most recently Charley’s True Value, and every spring and fall at her home for the “All town Garage Sales” selling her delicious brownies. Though recluse sometimes, Marcia sure did know how to have a good time. Loved by many, she will be missed by all.

She graduated from Polo High School.
