Polo – Patty A. White, 79, of Polo, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016, in Polo. She was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Polo, the daughter of Robert Sr. and Mildred (Hess) Hoak. On June 30, 1954, in Polo, she was united in marriage to Ronald White (he preceded her in January 2012). Patty worked for Shipperts Moving and Storage as their secretary for 50 years. She enjoyed reading, bowling, attending sporting events for both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren also getting together with her family. She was the financial secretary for St. Marks Lutheran Church for over 25 years, rarely missing a Sunday.
Survivors include daughter Sally (Ron) Pudwill of Freeport; sons John (Pam) White of Polo and Jim (Jennifer Gaughan) White of Lanark; brother Robert (Gene) Hoak Jr. of Polo; grandchildren Becky (Aaron) Coon, Julie (Travis) Howarth, Nathan White, Ashley White, Jared Gaughan, Josh (Stacy) Pudwill, Jeremy (Anne) Pudwill and Jon (Bridgette) Pudwill; 9 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a son David White.
The visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2016, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016, 10:30 a.m. at St. Marks Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Polo.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
