Everett K. Brown

On January 15, 2019, Everett K. Brown, loving husband and father, passed away at age 77. As he lived his entire life, he was surrounded by family and dear friends. He knew all the way to the end that he was deeply loved.

Everett was born July 17, 1941 in Polo, Illinois to Earl and Marian (Weaver) Brown. He was a life-long multi-generational grain and beef cattle farmer. For the past three decades he was a successful seed corn dealer. Everett also served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965 and was stationed in Germany.

On November 18, 1967 he married Diane (Auth) Brown, and they raised three children on their family farm. Everett had a passion for laughter, jokes, and deep conversation. He enjoyed life immensely and cared deeply and that showed with the fellowship that was bestowed upon him throughout his battle with cancer.

Everett is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane (Auth) Brown, two daughters Debbie (Dave) Weslow of Belvidere and Connie (John) Holmes of Marengo, son David (Kim) Brown of Milledgeville; eight grandchildren, Steven (Ava) Hack of Belvidere, Morgan Tegeler of Cherry Valley, Rebecca Hack of Marengo, Brandon Tegeler of Rockford, Owen, Natalie, Lindsey and Braden Brown of Milledgeville; and one great grandson Chase Velasco of Cherry Valley; three sisters Elinor (Jim) Patrick, Marian (Donald) DeWall, Nina (Daryl) Moring, and two brothers Harvey (Sue) Brown and Paul (Carol) Brown; and many nieces and nephews. Everett was preceded in death by his father, Earl, mother, Marian and sister Laurel (Brown) Hippen.
