John David Zeller, 74, of Dixon, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.
John was born March 6, 1947, in Sycamore, the son of John Drexel and Shirley Jo Zeller. He retired from the Iron Worker Local 498. John enjoyed spending time boating, golfing and in prayer.
Survivors include daughters Alicia Zeller of Dixon and Andrea (Blaine) Peters of Frankfort; Their mother Mary Zeller Manning of Dixon; sisters Judith Zimmermann of Townda, Janet Malmberg of Dixon and Jane Bruce of Polo; 4 grandchildren Nathan, Ella and Nolan Peters and Brady Zeller -Rosinski; 8 beloved nieces and nephews; friends closest to his heart Brian and Beth Verdick, their daughters Haley, Madelyn, Katarina and Peyton of Dixon, and Jim and Linda Hickey of Mt. Vernon Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brother-in- laws.
Private services were held at the Polo Family Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice and Home of Oregon.
