Marc Miller of Polo passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Loyola Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. He was 48 years old. Marc was born May 21st, 1970, the son of Wendell Miller and Jan (Mckeel) Miller. He is survived by a son, Teburden, sister Amy (Brent) Phelps, sister Abbie (Nick) Walls, brother Jon (Kim) Miller , brother Luke Miller, father Wendell (Lisa) Miller, step father Jack Feary and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Marc graduated from Polo Community High School and Universal Technical Institute. He was actively engaged in farming his entire life. Marc was predeceased by his mother, Jan.
During Marc’s high school days he was known as “Big Ed” which was a tribute to his exceptional strength. He was very kind and gentle and appreciated the out of doors and nature…two reasons he choose farming as a career.
Marc was an active member of the East Jordan Church where his energy and good heartedness made him in invaluable. Marc coveted the time he spent on church activities, and was always one of the first to volunteer when help was needed.
Marc touched many lives and will be missed deeply.
A memorial visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at East Jordan United Methodist Church, 22027 Polo Rd, Sterling. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. also at East Jordan United Methodist Church with a luncheon immediately following. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to start of service.
