Lois K. Parks, 83, of Polo, passed away Wednesday, April 13,2022, with family by her side at Liberty Court Senior Living in Dixon.
Lois was born on May 10, 1938, in Dixon, the daughter of Paul and Doris Graehling. She married the love of her life Charles “Chuck” Parks and together they celebrated 62 years of marriage. Lois and Chuck were snowbirds, enjoying their winter months in Marco Island, Florida and the Lake of the Ozarks in the summer. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include daughter Paula (Bob Venier) Tegeler of Dixon; son Leonard Parks of Sterling; sisters Rosalie Behrens; Virginia (Dan) Dugan; grandchildren Virgil Kyle (Lindsay) Tegeler, Daniel “Boone” Tegeler, Austin (Shelby) Parks, Shaun Parks, and Audrey (Josh Sodaro) Parks; and great-grandchildren Audrin, Rowyn, Lydia, Charles, Jemma, Riley, and River.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck; her parents and one brother-in-law Gene Behrens.
A private family service will be held at Polo Family Funeral Home, in Polo, with burial at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Sterling.
