Heaven gained a beautiful angel as Adaline M. Beck, 102, of Polo, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Serenity Hospice and Home. She lived a long and wonderful life but it was her time to be reunited with the love of her life Dale and infant son Rodger. She will be sadly missed by her three daughters.
Adaline was born January 22, 1920, in Dekalb, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Miller) McAdams. On May 17, 1941 in Maple Park, IL, she married her soul mate Dale Beck and together they had four children Bev Merdian, Rodger (deceased), Linda (Steve) Grossnickle, Donna (Kenny) Soltow all of Polo.
She was able to live in her own home for 78 years and so many wonderful family memories will be cherished.
Survivors include her daughters; 6 Grandchildren Bob (Julie) Merdian, Denny (Karla) Merdian, Michael (Heather) Merdian, Andria (Dave) Young, Julie Albrecht, Jeff (Brenda) Soltow; 17 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Granddaughter
She was preceded in death by husband Dale, son Rodger, 2 brothers Walter and William McAdams, sister Alvina Stickles and a son-in-law Robert Merdian.
A private family service will be held where she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo.
