Arlys J. Clark, 87 of Polo, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, in Sterling, IL.
Arlys was born, July 31, 1937, in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of Clifton Hartman and Loretta (Hackett) Hartman-Schuster. On October 5, 1957 in Dubuque, IA, she was united in marriage to Jack Clark. Arlys and Jack moved to Polo from Rockford in 1997. She loved her family and volunteering within the community. Arlys and her husband Jack enjoyed traveling all over the world over the years. She also enjoyed doing crafts, canning, sewing and quilting.
Survivors include sons: Ron Clark of Murphysboro, IL, Stephen (Margaret) Clark of Dixon, IL and Tom (Ruth) Clark of Hankinson, ND; half-sister Ruth Marie Hartman; brother Kermit Hartman; grandchildren Kristopher, Christian, Samantha, Patrick, Connor, Andrea, Aaron, Zachary and Elisabeth; great-grandson Vincent.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack; daughter Tamara Kinn; granddaughter Michelle Kinn.
A graveside service will be 10:30 AM on Monday, February 10, 2025 in Fairmount Cemetery, Polo, IL with her son Tom Clark officiating.
