James “Jim” C. Miller, 73, of Polo, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at his home. Jim was born, November 14, 1951, in Harrisburg, PA, the son of Oscar Miller and Mary Ellen (Clark) Miller. On December 2, 1989, in Polo, he married Barbara Rucker.
He worked as a PC Programer Analyst for Quality Books in Oregon, IL. Jim was an instructor for 4H Shooting Sports in Ogle County for many years. He sat on the Town and Country Days Committee since 2002 and volunteered for the Polo Little Leagues. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, new baby granddaughters and playing with his 3D printer.
Survivors include wife Barb; sons: Luke (Bailey) Miller of Monroe, WI, Jacob Miller of Polo; brother: Joe (Mary Jane) Miller of Bloomington, IL; granddaughters Scarlett and Eleanor Miller.
Jim was preceded in death by his Parents and a brother Clark Miller.
Arrangements are currently pending. Cremation rites will be accorded.
A celebration of his life will also be Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Westside Park in Polo. Family is asking those attending to bring a dish to pass along with drinks and lawn chairs. There will be outdoor grilling, games, and music for all.
