Arlene M. Jecklin, 96, of Polo, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at Polo Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Arlene was born Oct. 24,1922, in Sterling, the daughter of Arthur and Tena (Camps) Giffrow. She married Jacob Jecklin on March 6, 1943 in Polo, he preceded her on January 15, 1977.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Polo. Arlene loved spending time with family and traveling the back roads of northern Illinois. She enjoyed attending her families sporting events and watching baseball games on TV.
Survivors include daughters Ruth (Gary) Shipman of Polo and Elaine (Hale) Guyer of Byron; son Jim (Cathy) Jecklin of Dixon; sister-in-law Mildred Jecklin; grandchildren Jeff (Sandy) Shipman, Tim (Diane) Shipman, Kris (Steve) Bardell, Scot DeWall, Jake (Chrissy) Jecklin, Mitch Jecklin; 11 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by sisters Evelyn Hodes and Elda Giffrow.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo with Rev. Terrie Wilder officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
