David George Milroy, 85, passed away Saturday July 27, 2019 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris. He was a welder at Imeco for 30 years. David was born December 19,1933 in Sterling, the son of Rex and Mabel (Hines) Milroy. On October 20, 1956, he was united in marriage to Nancy Meyers. They met at a softball game and she preceded him in death in 2006, just shy of their 50th anniversary. David enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and fishing.
Survivors include daughters, Lesa Johnson of Polo, Connie (Mark) Groen of Polo, and Jodie (Jerry) Bowers of Leaf River; Grandchildren, Heather, Amber, Casandra, Joseph,Jeremy, Danielle, & Kyle; Great Grandchildren, Cameron, Jordan, Savannah, Summer, and M.J.; and special friend, Bob Miller. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Dan and Don.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 31, 2019 in Fairmount Cemetery, Polo with Rev. Bryan LaBaron officiating. No visitation. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
