Robert W. Wolfley, 83, of Polo, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at his home with his family by his side.
Robert was born October 12, 1930, in Chadwick, the son of Floyd and Ada (Isenhart) Wolfley. On July 30, 1949, in Mt. Carroll, he was united in marriage to Wilma Smith. Robert was a self employed carpenter in Polo and a Pressman at Kable Printing in Mt. Morris for 25 years until retirement.
Survivors include his wife Wilma; daughters Joyce (James) Mumford of Windsor, IL and Rita J. (Fred) Buser of Byron; sons Robert (Ingrid) Wolfley of Sterling and David Wolfley of Polo; 10 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Mary Mayberry, sister Lillian Scott, brother-in-law Edward Scott, granddaughter Kelly Wolfley Timm, great granddaughter Maverick Mumford.
A memorial visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Monday, at Faith Discovery Church, 801 W. Oregon St., Polo with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Faith Discovery Church, Polo and Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon.
