Erin M. Shippert, 32, of Dixon, passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at her home with family by her side. She was born Sept. 29, 1982, in Galesburg, IL , the daughter of Dennis and Sheryl (Claeys) Yard. On Sept. 6, 2008, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, in Amboy, she was united in marriage to Bradley Shippert. Erin attended Galesburg High School, lettering all four years with the Silver Streak swim team. She then went on to graduate from Western Illinois University, with a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics, active in Chi Omega Fraternity. After college she was involved with the Farm Bureau Young Leader committee working on various community projects. Erin enjoyed shopping, making cakes, and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband Bradley; parents Dennis and Sheryl; daughter Reagan; sister Nichole (Mark) Schultz of Milwaukee, WI; brother Bryan (Veronica) Yard of Wylie, TX; Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many special friends.
Erin was preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will begin immediately following a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 32 N. Jones St., Amboy. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, at 10:30 a.m., also at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Thomas Bales officiating. Burial will follow at DeWolfe Cemetery, IL Rt. 52, Dixon.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
