Polo – Montes “Polly” L. Ford, 98, of Polo, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Polo Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Polly was born November 25, 1916, in Milledgeville, the daughter of Jesse and Dora (Berger) Quest. On July 2, 1938, in Clinton, IA, she was united in marriage to Edgar Ford (he preceded her on June 28, 1986). Polly worked at the garment factory in Polo and helping raise the neighborhood children.
Survivors include daughter Brenda Mathews of Tucson, AZ; sons Dan (Anita) Ford of Polo, Brad (Marlene) Ford of Polo, Ray (Valerie) Ford of Dixon; 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a son Richard Ford, 3 Sisters and 1 Brother.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St. Polo, with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Dixon, immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Granny Rose Animal Shelter in Dixon.
