Willis “Bill” F. Davison, 81, of Polo, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Bill was born, October 15, 1933, in Eagle Point Township, son of Donald and Gladys (Geldean) Davison. On April 16, 1955, at Paynes Point Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Oregon, IL, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Schefler. For over 45 years Bill worked in the Automotive Service Industry he also was a veteran of the US Army. Bill enjoyed his time fishing, woodworking and working with his hands. He also loved spending time watching the high school sporting events with his grandchildren.
Survivors include wife Carolyn; daughters Julie (Cary) Robbins of Dixon, Kris (Phil) Peterson of Polo; sons Jeff (Cindy) Davison of Glenpool, OK, Scott (Barb) Davison of Cedar Falls, IA; sisters Evelyn Hewes of Freeport, Patricia Rosenbalm of Mt. Morris; brother Ken (Tammy) Davison of Wild Rose, WI; grandchildren Brent, Shane, Seth, Caleb, Kelly, Karen, Jake, Westen, Brinley, Luke; great grandchildren Ethan, Will, Beckett, Chloe and one arriving soon .
He was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Davison and brother Steve Davison.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015, from 9:30 -11:00 AM at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 201 N. Division Ave., in Polo. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM also at St. Marks Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
