Rojeanne K. McCombs, 85, of Polo, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015, at her home. She worked for Tri-County Opportunity Counsel as an outreach worker for over 40 years. Rojeanne enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, garage sales and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was born January 10, 1930, in Eads, CO, the daughter of John and Ida (Ferris) Duchay. On December 4, 1954 in Crown Point, IN, she was united in marriage to Charles McCombs (he preceded her in Nov. 1983).
Survivors include daughters Pam (Steve) Harker of Dixon, Karen “Kim” Hoffman of Polo, Carrie Wade of Coleta, Becki McCombs of Rockfalls; sons Craig McCombs of Polo, Steve McCombs of Rockfalls, Chris (Amy) McCombs of Clinton, IA; brothers John “Buddy”, Elmer, Donnie Duchay; grandchildren Amy, Michael, Kimberly, DeeDee, DJ, Scott, Gene, Crystal, Charlotte, Jay, Dana, Jacob, Olyvia, Dustin, Stevie Rae, Spencer, Samantha, Nathan, Mackenzie, Gabe, Andre, Olivia, Emily; 9 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by son-in-law Donald Hoffman, sisters Shirley and Cleon Duchay.
Visitation will be Friday, May 15th, from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon, St. Polo. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery, Polo.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
