Roger A. Benthin Sr., 56, of Polo, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015, at his home in Polo. He was born April 17, 1959, in Harvard, IL, the son of Herman and Gladys (Schoon) Benthin. Roger was a carpenter by trade, working with his hands was not only his job but hobby. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. Roger was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Survivors include daughters Melissa (James) Glackin of South Beloit, IL, Dawn (Shawn) Patton of Polo; son Timothy Benthin of South Beloit, IL; sisters Elaine Benthin of South Dakota, Yvonne (Rick) Pries of Texas; brothers Dale Benthin of South Dakota and Roy Benthin of Oklahoma; 8 Grandchildren; godson Mark Abraham of Texas.
He was preceded in death by Parents, son Roger A. Benthin Jr, niece Kara Benthin.
Respecting Rogers wishes cremation rites have been accorded with burial in South Dakota.
