Juanita M. Lawton, 59, of Polo, passed away, Monday, July 13, 2015, at C.G.H. in Sterling. She was born on February 3,1956 in Dixon to J.J. “Curly” & Jean (Lunz) Lawton. Juanita graduated from Polo High School and had been formerly employed as a bookkeeper for Farmers Lumber and was currently working for P.N.C. in Polo. Juanita was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Polo and had served on the Polo Park Board. She was an avid Polo Marco fan and active with youth softball and soccer in Polo.
She is survived by her mother of Polo; a sister, Jeannine (Steve) Venhuzen of Polo and 3 nieces: Jennifer (Matthew) Brewer of New Berlin, IL, Jodi (Alan) McFalls of Polo and Jeanna (Gus) Martin of Fenton, MO.
Juanita was preceded in death by her father.
At the request of Juanita’s family a Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Polo, on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 10:30 AM with a lunch to follow.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Church or to the Polo Park.
