Rose Marie Kane, 67, of Dixon, formerly of Franklin Grove, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, at her home.
She was born September 18, 1948 in Centralia, IL to Elvin & Louise (Simer) Bass. She married Erwin J. Kane on June 21, 1968 in Rock Falls. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2002. She graduated from Dixon High School and had attended Sauk Valley Community College. Her children were her life and she loved to watch the NBA.
She is survived by her children: Andy (Amy) Kane of Dixon and Yolanda (Joe Sr.) Gennaro of Chadwick; 3 grandchildren Kurtus Vock, Joseph Gennaro Jr. and Jaime Gennaro; stepchildren Tim Kane of Alamonte Springs, FL, and Tamara of Orlando, FL; 5 stepgrandchildren and a brother, Walt (Sally) Bass of Galva, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 sisters Ann Sanders, Kate Clapper and Wanda Hemminger.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo, and also from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday with services to follow at 11:00. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
