Polo – Lera C. Kump, 95, of Polo, passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Polo Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born March 13, 1920, in Glascow, KY, the daughter of Samuel and Lucy (Mathews) Hammer. Lera married Mr. Donald Kump until his passing at an early age. She not only continued to care of her family but became a caretaker in the area for many years for other families.
Survivors include grandchildren Renee (Mark LeFevre) Grenoble, Andy (Rebecca Hille) Powell, Brian (Ellie Troup) Powell; great-granchildren Mackenzie, Aspen, Avery, Ramsie, Samuel, Matthew, Isaya. She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Powell and Nine Brothers and Sisters
Visitation will be Friday, March 4, 2016 from 9:30 a..m. till service time of 10:30 a.m. at the Faith United Methodist Church, 702 E. Dixon St., Polo. Burial will follow at the Daysville Cemetery, Oregon.
