Michael L. French, 63, of Polo, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Rockford. He was born April 18, 1953, in Rockford, the son of Lenard and Hazel French. Michael worked for Quebecor World, Mt. Morris, for over 32 years till its closing. He then went on to work for Crest Foods in Ashton. Michael enjoyed cooking being in the garden, tending to his flowers, chickens and cats. He was the master of sarcasm, the family clown, he could fill a room with not only laughter but joy.
Survivors include daughter Vanessa French; sons Ryan and Eric French; brothers Jerry, Larry, Gary, Roger, Joe, Raymond and Lenard French,
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jeff and infant brother.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering at the Dogwood Inn, 2452 IL Rt 26, Polo, on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 from 2:00-5:00 PM
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
