Dorothy M. Broege, 75, of Polo, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at home with family by her side. Dorothy was born Oct. 12, 1941 in Freeport, the daughter of Elmer and Della (Bingham) Hybarger. She loved her family and dog Holly dearly. Dorothy enjoyed running errands with her grandson Aaron Coffman, collecting owls, teddy bears and any knickknack she could get her hands on.
Survivors include daughters Becky (Allen Vanlandingham) Jones of McCrory, AR, Teresa (Harold) Thompson of McCrory, AR; sons Arlen R. Broege of Oro Valley, AZ, Nelson (Marsha Sensenig) Broege of Dixon, Marty Broege of Dixon, Scot (Dodie) Broege of Sterling, Clark (Felicia) Broege of Conway, AR; sisters Rosie Reeder and Edith Sutterlin; brother Elmer Hybarger; 12 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by sisters Betty Kraft and Norma Marshall; brother Walter Hybarger; grandson Jesse Holloman; her longtime companion David Yates and ex-husband Arlen W. Broege.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at Faith Discovery Church, Polo from 10:00 a.m. till service time of 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
Family wishes to thank KSB Hospital, OSF St. Anthony Hospital, Advance EMS and Serenity Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her sister Judy Guerrerie. Private services to be held in Spring Valley, IL.
