Gladys L. Haring, 96, of Freeport (formerly of Polo) passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Parkview Home, Freeport.
Gladys was born, June 4, 1920, in Milbank, South Dakota, the daughter of Charles and Esther (Speckeen) Miller. On July 29, 1943, in Savanna, she was united in marriage to Earl Haring. Gladys worked at the Polo Garment Factory and Central Stamping in Polo. She was a life long member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Polo and a current member of the Bethany United Church of Christ in Freeport.
Survivors include sister Hazel Dorsey of Freeport; sister-in-laws Naomi Miller and Carole Miller; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Earl; sister Alice Brown and her husband Paul Brown; brothers Leonard and Kenneth Miller; brother-in-law Russell Dorsey; niece Shelly A. Dorsey.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Faith United Methodist Church, 702 E Dixon St, Polo, with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden in Dixon.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
