Alice Ruth Rebuck, 95, of Polo, passed away June 28, 2017 at Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon. Alice was born November 12, 1921 in Ogle County, the daughter of Ben and Etta (Girard) Rowland. On March 7, 1937 in Rockford, she was united in marriage to Earl Rebuck, he preceded her in death in 1945; also preceding Alice in death are her brothers Lloyd, Floyd and Jesse Rowland; sister Elva Earl and special friend Don Smith.
Survivors include brother Robert (Margaret) Rowland of Freeport; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Alice worked for Kable News for over 35 years.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on July 6, 2017, at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St. Burial will be following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. Visitation will be prior from 10-11:00 A.M. at Polo Family Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
