Polo- Alma A. Bowser, 89, of Polo, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Polo Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Alma was born June 28, 1934, in Polo, the daughter of Oliver L. and Elizabeth N. (Barnes) Ohlwine. She was a homemaker most her life. Alma enjoyed baking for her family, working in the yard and caring for her grandchildren. She was always there to lend a hand where it was needed.
Survivors include daughter Angela Tornow of Freeport; sons David McKnight of Stockton, IL, Alan Bowser of Fisk, MO, Brian Bowser of Forreston, IL; brother Orlan Ohlwine of Polo, IL; 8 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great Great-Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; brother Orville Ohlwine; sister Evelyn Shellhause.
A memorial visitation will be Monday, September 11, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Brick Church Cemetery, 17022 W. Brick Church Road, Polo.
