Polo—Alma Lucille Woodin, 89, longtime resident of Polo, died Wednesday October 20, 2021 in Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. She was born April 5, 1932 in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Clifford Sr. and Helen (Leisner) Garriott. On February 3, 1952, she married Harold Woodin in the Christian Church in Sterling. They then moved to Polo where Lucille worked in several retail stores in the area and enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, and gardening. She was a Cub Scout leader when her son was involved in scouts and also an active member in Faith United Methodist Church and the Polo Historical Society. She is survived by her husband, Harold; son, Edward Woodin of Freeport, IL; daughter, Julie (Mike) Scordo of West Bend, WI; grandson, AJ (Heidi) Deets of Littleton, CO; nieces, Chris (Kim) Olson and Lisa Cowley that she helped to raise, and other nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her sisters Barbara Woodin and Anna Cheshier, and brother Walter Garriott. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clifford Jr. (Ruth) Garriott, sister Shirley Welker, brothers-in-law Donald Woodin and LeRoy Cheshier, and sister-in-law Judy Garriott.

Funeral services will be held Monday October 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo, IL with Pastor Brian LeBaron of Faith United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00-4:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Polo. A memorial fund is established in her name.
