Carla N. Singley, 75, of Polo, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at Freeport Hospital. Carla was born September 23, 1948, in Dixon, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Dennis) Kjolsing. On March 25, 1967, in Polo, she married Michael Singley.
Carla was a well respected school teacher for 30 years with Polo Community School District. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Carla was a devoted follower of Christ and a great woman of faith. She loved her work and the children she was so blessed to teach. Carla and her husband started Singley Construction in 1969 and still operates today.
Survivors include husband Michael Singley; mother Dorothy Kjolsing; sons Steven (Cheryl) Singley of Vernon Hills, IL, Jeffery (Dawn) Singley of Forreston, IL; brother Wyman (Cindy) Kjolsing of Fort Dodge, IA; grandchildren Jordan (Jason) Piske of South Elgin, IL, Michael Singley and Hayden Singley both of Forreston, IL; great grandchildren Hudson and Collins. She is preceded in death by her father Richard.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St. Polo. Private family services will be held with burial at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo.
