Clancy J. Buck

Clancy J. Buck, 58, of Polo, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. Clancy was born Sept. 30, 1956, in Dixon, the son of Frank James Buck and Neita (Weigle) Buck Bjorklund. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1974, went on to attend University of Illinois and recently graduated from Sauk Valley Community College. He worked at Imeco in Polo for 19 years until closing, then went on to work for Wahl Clipper in Sterling as a shift supervisor.

Survivors include sons Colin (Ashli Blackburn) Buck of Oregon, Grifin (Megan Lundgren) Buck and Dagin Buck of Iowa City, IA, sisters Sandy (George) Grobe of Rockford, Julie (Doug) Shank of Huntley, Bridget (Rob) Lester of Liberty, MO, sister-in-law Shareen Buck; the mother of his sons Tina Witmer Buck.

He was preceded in death by Parents, brother Casey Buck and nephew Mike Cross.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo, IL, 61064. A private memorial service to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
