Cory W. Windsor, 51, of Prophetstown, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his home.
Cory was born December 5, 1970, in Dixon, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Joyce Windsor. He worked for McKean Masonry in Polo and later Self Help in Sterling. Cory enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, going hunting, fishing and trapping with friends. He would sit and listen to music group Metallica and watch the late NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Sr. In the quiet of the day he loved learning about WWII history. Cory was a loyal son, brother, uncle and friend.
Survivors include his dad Joseph (Sharon); sister Kim (Dave) Brown of Milledgeville, IL; brothers Scott (Shawn) Windsor of Rochelle, IL and Joseph (Lisa) Reisinger of Rockford, IL; nieces and nephews Natalie, Lindsey, Owen, and Brady Brown and August Vincer, Alleigh Ludwig and Brooke Ratledge .
He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce; brother Johnny Windsor; aunt Judy Lawson.
A celebration of his life will be Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A lunch to follow will be at the Polo Crossroads Community Church.
