Dennis W. Olsen, 73, of Polo, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.
Dennis was born August 4, 1948, in Dixon, the son of Axel and Maxine (Yeakel) Olsen. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from Byron Nuclear Station as a Chemist Foreman. Dennis enjoyed doing woodworking, going hunting and fishing with his daughters when they were young.
Survivors include daughters Cari Olsen of Mt. Morris and Julie (Don) Sholes of Byron; sister Nancy (Ed) Grossnickle of Polo; brothers Jon (Shanda) Olsen of Baudette, MN, Kim (Chris) Olsen of Polo and Mike (Sam) Olsen of Polo; grandchildren Michael, Maggie and Cooper Sholes.
He was preceded in death by his Parents. Honoring Dennis’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
