Gretchen T. Gilbert, 67, of Polo, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
Gretchen was born June 4, 1955, in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of James and Ruhamma Hird. Gretchen retired in 2010 from then Quad Graphics in Mt. Morris. She was an avid reader and loved to watch a good movie. Gretchen took a lot of pride in caring for her sister and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include sons Melvin (Cathy) Taylor Jr. of Australia and Matthew (Robin) Taylor of Freeport; sisters Sarah Hird of Polo, Christine Forte of Santa Barbara, CA; 5 Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her Parents and brother Gregg Hird.
Gretchen will be laid to rest next to her parents at Oak Wood Cemetery in Mt. Morris, IL at a later date.
