H. Fern Sellers, 78, of Polo, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at Pinecrest Manor in Mt. Morris.
Fern was born January 28, 1939, in Adair, IL, the daughter of Harry and Vera (Butcher) Ehrhart. On August 16, 1964, in Good Hope, IL, she was united in marriage to Dwight Sellers (he preceded her in 1995). Fern was a Registered Nurse with then Polo Continental Manor retiring after over 20 years of service. She enjoyed growing up on the family farm. Fern was an avid NASCAR and Chicago sports fan. She enjoyed her role as a coaches wife supporting Dwight, her children, grandchildren and the Polo Marcos. You would often find her coloring in her adult coloring books, reading, doing puzzles, collecting antiques and was QVC biggest customer.
Survivors include sons Brinton “BJ” (Kate) Sellers of Clinton, IA, Trenton (Erin) Sellers of Mt. Morris, Derron (Dana) Sellers of Polo; sisters Sue Ann (James) Bohlen of San Antonio, TX, Jane Ehrhart of Okeechobee, FL; grandchildren Rawleigh, Landry, Case, Avery, Briggs, Zoie and Izzy Sellers and Michael and William Dubois and Victoria Highley; great grandchildren Lilli and Nora Highley.
She was preceded in death by both her parents.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St. until service time of 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Josh Ehler officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Polo.
