Harlene “Bean” D. Alderks, 59, of Polo, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.
Harlene was born, October 16, 1965, in Dixon, IL, the daughter of Harlan J. and Mary (Suter) Alderks.
Harlene will be missed by her family and her Village of Progress family. She enjoyed having fun, traveling to Tennessee, and giving a big hug with a smile that would light up a room. Harlene colored pictures to give away and hopefully bring joy to the person receiving. She was a true representation of what unconditional love was.
Survivors include sisters: Dawn (David) Fitzgerald of Polo, step-sisters Judy (Russell) Castle of Dixon, Joanne Hitchcock of Oregon, Brothers: Kevin (Dione) Alderks of Freeport, step-brother Mike Gilroy of Dixon, Many Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; sisters Kimberly Alderks and Lavona Crossen; step-brother Jesse Gilroy .
Visitation will be Friday, May 2, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St. Polo. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM at the White Rock Cemetery in Kings with Rev. Luke Schier officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorials may be directed to the Village of Progress or in her name.
