Hilda May Reeder, 99, of Polo, passed away Thursday, January 09, 2025, at Dixon Health Care Center in Dixon, IL.
Hilda was born, April 17, 1925, in Sandusky, OH. She worked at Borg Warner for many years retiring in 1997. Hilda married Harry Reeder in 1942 and together they shared 38 years of marriage. She enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, going on long walks or going out with friends and family. Hilda loved to bake, and made the best apple pies, along with planting and working in her large garden every year.
Survivors include daughter Bonnie Bradshaw of Mt. Morris, IL; son Brian (Tracy) Reeder of Polo, IL; grandchildren Stacy Bradshaw, Austin (Lilly) Reeder, Alli (Juan) Munoz; great-granddaughter Rylan Bradshaw; special friend Pat Doyle of Rochelle, IL.
She was preceded in death by, husband Harry; son Glenn Reeder; grandson Tracy E. Reeder; daughter-in-law Leona Reeder.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice.
