James E. Keplinger, 81, of Mt. Morris, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at KSB Hospital.
Jim was born Feb. 12, 1940, in Freeport, the son of Everett and Ada R. Keplinger. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1958 and then went on to join the Air Force. On Nov. 14, 1964 at Pinecreek Christian Church in rural Polo, he was united in marriage to Barbara May. After the service he always had two jobs, a pressman and a farmer in the area. Jim was always a hard worker. He was a Mason in Mt. Morris, enjoyed hunting, fishing or trying to find arrowheads. He was a lifetime member of the NRA.
Survivors include wife Barbara; son Curtis (Laura Wulf) Keplinger of Dixon; sister Jane (Ken) Sheely of Adaline
Cremation rites have been accorded.
