Judith K. Snook, 76, of Polo, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. Judy was born, Sept. 12,1939, in Freeport, the daughter of Walter and Lota I. (Osborne) Gann. On August 16, 1969 in Oregon, IL, she was united in marriage to Max E. Snook Jr. Judy was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Polo for over 35 years and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8455 for over 30 years. She owned Catering by Judy for over 25 years and taught art classes in the area for china painting and rub out paintings. She loved watching nature, going to her children and grand children’s events. Judy was spunky in every sense of the word and loved by all.
Survivors include husband Max; daughters Julie (Mark) Young of Dixon, Mindy (Mike) Ditzler of Polo; sister Debbie (David) Flannery of Rockfalls; brother Steven (Sue White) Gann of Mt. Morris; grandchildren Holly, Ethan, Kennedi, Jesse, Kassidi; great grandchildren Marcus and Isaiah. She was preceded in death by a brother Larry E. Gann.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo. The funeral will be 10:00 AM, Friday Feb. 12, 2016 at Polo Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grand Detour Cemetery, Dixon.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
