Kenneth R. Miller, 89, of Polo, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Parkview Home in Freeport. Kenny was born August 6,1927, in Milbank, South Dakota, the son of Charles and Esther (Speckeen) Miller. On August 5, 1948, in Polo, he was united in marriage to Naomi Garber. Kenny worked for Kable Printing in Mt. Morris for over 50 years when he retired in 1982. He was a 60+ year member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Polo also a member of the Polo Area Senior Center. Kenny’s hobbies included woodworking, bird watching, fishing collecting and studying coins and playing the Lotto. Kenny enjoyed his garden and traveling with his wife, nieces, nephews and the family pets.
Survivors include wife of over 68 years Naomi; sisters Hazel Dorsey and Gladys Haring both of Freeport and sister-in-law Carole Miller of Rockford; many Nieces and Nephews .
Kenny was preceded in death by a sister Alice Brown; brother Leonard Miller, three infant brothers and brother-in-laws Earl Haring, Paul Brown and Russell Dorsey; niece Shelly Dorsey.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Faith United Methodist Church, 702 E Dixon St, Polo, with services beginning at 11:00. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden in Dixon.
