LaMonte T. Ballard, 59, of IL died on Sep 13, 2020 in Freeport, with his wife by his side. Monte was born on Feb 15, 1961 in Sterling. He was the son of Dr. LaMonte T. Ballard Sr. and Sally (Bickford) Ballard. He married his wife Linda on August 29, 2008 in Stillman Valley.
Monte was a Pastor and avid golf fan. He also worked at UPS for 18 years, the last two for which he fought and won the battle of Leukemia. His passion in life was Jesus and the furtherance of His Kingdom. Monte was an exceptional Bible teacher and theologian. He was always generous with his time and resources. Monte was a deeply caring and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, and Friend. He was an extremely funny guy with a wonderful comedic delivery and an amazing sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, his sister, 2 sons, 6 daughters, 19 grandchildren, and 4 great grand children. Monte was preceded in death by his Parents.
A graveside service will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020 at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling where he will be laid to rest next to his parents.
