Linda Louise Scholl, 79, went to be with the Lord on the evening of September 11, 2023. She was born on October 2, 1943, to Loren “Sparky” and Dorotha Scholl.
Linda had the heart of a child, and it was the little things in life that made her the happiest. Pepperoni pizza and pop were a special treat for her. She loved getting manicures and wearing lipstick with red & pink being her favorite colors. Participating in activities such as BINGO (it wasn’t uncommon to see her with several prizes!), community coffee and singing her favorite hymns during vesper services were some of her favorites. She celebrated every holiday like it was her birthday. You’d find her all decked out in festive socks, funny headbands, colorful necklaces, and her most prized possessions – crazy sunglasses! Linda had a light that came from inside and all those who were fortunate to know her fell in love with her. Linda’s delightful presence will be dearly missed by all but there is comfort in knowing she suffers no more and is once again with her parents and brother, Tom.
Survivors include her three nieces: Paula (Kevin) Humphrey and Jeanna (Gary) Fulrath of Polo, IL, Susan (Mike) Connell of DeWitt, IA.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Fairmount Cemetery, 1533 Il-26, Polo, IL. Anyone wishing to pay their respects and honor Linda is invited to attend.
