Marion “Gene” E. Hazlip, 79, of Oregon (formerly of Polo), passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018, at his home.
Gene was born July 28, 1939, in Jefferson Township, IL the son of Walter and Cleona (Boatwright) Hazlip. On Oct. 28, 1967 in Haldane, IL he was united in marriage to Donna Feary. Gene was a veteran of the US Army serving in Germany as a Radar Operator. He then went on to work for Keefer Farms in Polo for over 30 years and Norman Feedlot for 13 years.
Survivors include wife Donna; sisters Wilma Logan of Oregon and Leona (Ted) Buisker of Davis, IL; brothers Leland (Lucy) Hazlip of Oregon, Glenn (Jocelyn) Hazlip of Stillman Valley, Walter Hazlip of California; many Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 Sisters and 3 Brothers.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo.
