Rockford – Marlin Roy Rasmussen, 76, of Rockford passed away Thursday September 14, 2017 at his residence. He retired from Motorola where he was a lineman. Marlin was born August 9, 1941, in Sterling, the son of Donald and Ada (Mitchell) Rasmussen. He married Theresa Kessel in June of 1983.
Marlin is survived by two daughters, Lisa Pool of Dixon and Kelly (Dean) Setchel of Amboy; two sons, Christopher Fisher of Dixon and Nicholas Fisher of Manlius; two brothers, Alan and Gary Rasmussen both of Iowa; 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Marlin was preceded in death by his parents; Sister Sharon Karrow; Brother Leon Rasmussen.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo, with a memorial visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m just prior to the service.
