Patricia A. Conkrite, 72, of Polo, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. Patricia was born February 28, 1945, in Sterling, the daughter of Donald B. and Dorothy (Letcher) Sanders. On September 4,1964 in Polo, she was united in marriage to Michael Conkrite. Patricia volunteered at Centennial School in Polo and made lunches faithfully for her grandchildren and their friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include husband Michael; daughter Julie (Bob) Merdian of Polo; son Patrick (Mori Jo) Conkrite of Machesney Park; grandchildren Zach and Amber Henson.
She is preceded in death by brothers William and Robert Sanders.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St. with graveside immediately following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
