Richard “Elmer” L. Bowser, 88, of Dixon, passed away March 20, 2023, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.
Richard was born May 19, 1934, in Woosung, IL, the son of Roy and Emma (Brown) Bowser. In 1984 he married Ms. Mabel Graham.
Richard retired from Daubert Chemical after 35 years with the company. He enjoyed watching baseball, specifically the Cubs, woodworking and having coffee with his friends at the local restaurant.
Survivors include son Richard Bowser Jr and stepson Scott Graham; stepdaughter Brenda Freis; sister Isabelle Meier; 4 Step-Grandchildren; 2 Step-Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife Mabel; Parents; brothers George, Herbie, Donald, Chester and Clifton; sisters Frances and Jean.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023 in Fairmount Cemetery, Polo. In lieu of flowers the memorials may be directed to Ronald McDonald House Charities or Serenity Hospice and Home.
