Dixon – Robert A. Toms Jr, 51, of Dixon, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018, at his home.
Robert was born April 27, 1966, in Dixon, the son of Robert and Darlene (Peifer) Toms Sr. He worked for Snow White Bakery in Dixon for 28 years and more recently with IFH in Rock Falls for the last 5 years. Robert lived for his work, the church, hunting, fishing and enjoyed keeping up with Dixon High School sports teams. He was an avid collector of all things dairy and a member of the Pine Creek Christian Church, Polo, where he served in many positions. Robert was also a member of the Living History Antique Equipment Association in Franklin Grove.
Survivors include parents Robert and Darlene Toms of Dixon; Brother Brian Toms of Dixon; and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cyrus and Frances Toms and Oliver and Gladys Peifer.
The memorial visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St, Polo. Burial will be held at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
