Ronald George Jaquet, from Chadwick was born on Oct 24, 1940 to George & Margaret Jaquet of Manlius, passed away on June 16, 2024. He was married to Patricia M. Jaquet for 28 years.
Ron worked at Elkay Manufacturing in Lanark and retired from Lawrence Brothers MFG in Sterling, he loved to umpire and referee sports events in and around Chadwick, Milledgeville and Polo, as well as travel places like Florida and the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sister Sally Dallman of Chetek, WI.
He is survived by his children: Loretta (Jim) Verbout of Rochester, MN; Leon (Barbara Jean) Jaquet of Kapolei, HI; Laurie (Tom) Wetzell of Rock Falls, Il; John (Darla) Jaquet of Olympia, WA; Julie (Dorian) Kainec of Roanoke Rapids, NC; Joe (Sonya) Jaquet; Step-children: Kathy (Rex) Blomberg of Freeport, IL; Rod (Karla Down) Garman of Dixon, IL: Sharon (Kevin) Remery of Mt Morris; Randy (Jennifer) Garman of Polo, IL, as well as numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St., Polo, IL. A brief graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Sterling immediately following the visitation time.
