Steven Wetzel, 68, of Mt. Morris, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024. The son of William & Diane, Steven was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 9, 1956.
Steven was a professional Boxer, and even though it says above that he was 68, anyone who knows Steven knows that he was really only 30. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking his dog Delta to the park. Steven had a very tough exterior but inside he was a big softy with a huge heart.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey, mother Diane, daughters, Stephanie Duncan (Kraig), Dionne Wetzel, Samara Wetzel, and Aolani Turner, grandchildren, JJ, Spencer & Jordan Leddy, Skylar, Kolby, and Isaac Morningstar, Miranda, Aubrey and Paige Merritt, Beau Perrine and Daniel, Christian & Jackie Gonzalez, 11 great grandchildren with one on the way, and siblings, Cindy, Sally, Diana, Donald and Vicky.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Tamara, and his father, William.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Polo Family Funeral Home.
