Valerie E. Forster, 41, of Elk Grove Village, IL (formerly of Dixon, IL) passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, in Geneva, IL.
Valerie was born, January 13, 1983, in Sycamore, IL, the daughter of Ronald and Nona (DuBois) Forster. She graduated from Polo Community High School in 2001. Valerie liked playing cards and board games with anyone who would sit with her, especially her adoring grandmother. Valerie loved watching Disney movies and 80s tv shows, and she enjoyed spending time with animals and babies. She had an extensive collection of Barbie Dolls and American Girl Dolls. Valerie enjoyed horseback riding at White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Morrison for 28 years, and through their coaching, she won first place in English Equitation at the 2001 Illinois State Special Olympics. She attended One Step at a Time Camp as a child in Lake Geneva, WI.
Survivors include her mother Nona Forster of Roselle, IL; maternal grandparents Jule & Barbara DuBois of Polo, IL; brother Augustus (Irene) Forster of Wheaton, IL; many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father Ron Forster; paternal grandparents Jim and Helen Forster; and her faithful companion Chocolate.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Polo Family Funeral Home 110 E. Dixon St., Polo. A graveside service will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo. The family has requested visitors to wear purple in celebration of Valerie’s favorite color.
