Victor Garman

Victor D. Garman, 86, of Polo, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Polo Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Victor was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Rural Polo, the son of Lee and Buelah (Smith) Garman. On February 20, 1954 in Cedarville, IL, he was united in marriage to Lois Gift. Victor farmed in the Polo area and raised feeder cattle since 1936. He was a member of the St. Marks Lutheran Church in Polo. He sold corn and grass seed in the area and was a member of the Farm Bureau and Polo Coop. Victor greatly loved his family and animals. He was a loyal Cubs fan and loved going to sales and watching the parades.

Survivors include wife Lois; daughter Vicki (Mike) Todd of Dixon; son Don (Karen) Garman of Fitchburg, WI; granddaughters Melanie Wyatt, Crystal (Dean) Yocum, Tiffany (Casey) Warren; great-grandchildren Zoie, Ella, Zeb, Ava, Finley.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Bill and Nevin.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St. with services beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
