Polo – Willard T. Harmon, 77, of Polo, passed away June 26, 2016, at his home with family by his side. Willard was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Brookville, the son of Howard and Flossie (Garman) Harmon. On Oct. 6, 1973 in Polo, he was united in marriage to Lesta F. Gould. He served in the United States Air Force and was an over the road truck driver for 35 years. Willard was a 34 year member of the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge, enjoyed fishing, car shows and was an avid Bears fan.
Survivors include wife Lesta; daughter Pearl (Daniel) Mayberry of Forreston; son Shawn Harmon of Sterling; sister Jean Turney of Polo
He was preceded in death by a sister Donna Troxell.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. till service time at 11:00 a.m. at the Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St. Polo. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Polo.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
