William “Bill” E. Smith, 74, of Polo, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
Bill was born, Dec. 19, 1947, in Dixon, the son of Louis and Ruth Smith. On Sept. 18, 1965, in Polo, he married Ms. Marjorie Kness. He worked and retired from Imeco York International in Polo. He enjoyed his time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren above all else.
Survivors include daughters DeAnn Irvin of Polo and Leslie (Chuck) Neuschwanger of Polo; brother Tom Smith of Plano, IL; grandchildren Kari Sanders, DJ (Julie) Sanders, Katelyn (Dylan Stewart) Grobe, Cody Neuschwanger, Tanner Neuschwanger; great grandchildren Cayden, Kaleb, Brady, Evynn, Charlie, Corbin and Rowan.
He was preceded in death by beloved wife Marjorie; sisters Ruth Ehlers and Julia Meyers; brother Don Smith .
A private graveside service will be held and he will be laid to rest at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo.
